After the retirement of Theodore Fleming at our most recent Annual General Meeting the Board has elected Caroline Banhidy as its new Chair and Michael Liu as its Deputy Chair.

Foresters Financial also welcomed its newest board member Andrew Smith who joined the Board on the 26th November 2020.

Caroline Banhidy was appointed to the Foresters Financial Board and Deputy Chair in 2019. She has over 30 years’ experience in financial services with a focus on investment governance and management.

Michael Liu became a Board member of Foresters Financial earlier this year and is a qualified lawyer with over 25 years of financial services experience.

Foresters Financial would also like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing Chair, Theodore Fleming, for his 27 years of service with 25 years of those being as Chair. In his time Foresters Financial’s funds under management has grown from $20m to now over $380m.

New Board Member

We would like to welcome Andrew Smith to the Foresters Financial Board.

Andrew brings with him a wealth of knowledge not only from his current role as Group CEO and Executive Director of CBHS Health Fund but also his previous role as CEO and Managing Director at InvoCare Limited, the largest funeral company in Australia.

Andrew is a Non-Executive Director of Members Health Fund Alliance Limited, the organisation representing the not-for-profit, member owned, regional and community-based health insurance sector. He is Chair of the Private Healthcare Australia Limited (PHA) Audit Committee and a Non-Executive Advisory Board member of AFEA Pty Limited, a home care services business.

These most recent changes to the Foresters Financial Board completes the current Board renewal process. Foresters Financial would like to take this opportunity to thank the past Board members for their many years of service.
