Foresters Financial is very pleased to announce the appointment of two new Board Members, David Heath and Caroline Banhidy. They both bring a wealth of experience in two different areas of expertise and we want to welcome them to the new look Foresters Financial.


David Heath


David has over 25 years’ experience in actuarial consulting. He has experience across all areas of actuarial practice, specialising in general insurance and accident compensation. He has been a Director and Actuary with Cumpston Sarjeant Pty Ltd since 2007.

Currently, he is a Board member of the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Chair of the TAC’s Audit Committee. David is also a volunteer Board member and Honorary Treasurer of the Australian Association of Gerontology.

David is a Fellow at the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA), CPA Australia (FCPA), and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (F Fin). He is also a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons.) from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia (now FINSIA), and graduate Certificate of Business Forensics from the University of Melbourne.

David has been heavily involved in the education of the next generation of actuaries and lectures post-graduate students in actuarial studies at the University of Melbourne, where he is also an Honorary Senior Fellow.


Caroline Banhidy


Caroline Banhidy has over 30 years’ experience in financial services with a focus on investment governance and management. She is an experienced consultant in strategy, performance improvement, governance and value realisation capabilities and director of a number of organisations.

She has both strategic acumen and operational expertise working to effect transformational change across businesses. With a variety of expertise within the financial and professional services, membership organisations, investment management, superannuation, manufacturing, energy, and private equity firms.

Caroline is a Board member of Oxil, a cloud-based IT business, and Tax & Super Australia, a 100-year old member organisation. She is also a Director of Bangay Capital Pty Ltd, a consulting firm.

She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Superannuation (GAIST) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).

Caroline holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Economics (Hons.) from Monash University.

 

David and Caroline will bring a great deal of experience to Foresters Financial and help guide our exciting future.
